Comment on AVG Anti-Virus 8.0 by ComputerAid

AVG was good until V8.0

V8.0 has some very undesirable features (AVG link scanner)... it scans the destination website on ALL links on a website.

So a simple google search means your PC (via AVG) will download at least 10 web pages... and if they are OK, then AVG puts a green tick next to the link...

Needless to say, it slows down your internet a LOT. If you have a very fast internet connection, then you might not notice it much (except you bandwidth usage will increase).

I had a customer with AVG just 1 day ago... Once I removed AVG (and installed avira antivir), the internet felt 10 times faster.

AVG kick ass. I actually like AVG better than Norton or Mcaffee Anti-viruses. we have used them in our company, and still using symantec enterprise for all of our users, but when it comes to find and remove viruses AVG is the one. Symantec does not find all the threads, and when it find them does not remove them.

I know AVG sounds cheap and is free, but I would rather use AVG instead of all the commercial stuff.

Yea I was thinking about that too. I could use another machine for testing purposes at least. But the way my thought process works... would I benefit more from having a testing machine or backup machine, or would it be better to try to get rid of the parts and try to enhance my readership with that.
Something else I was thinking... I could piece by piece give them away over a long period of time(6 months) or so.
Like top commentator for each month gets the piece of their choice.... Something like that.
Ah, who knows...

We have so many computer around here, it's a bit ridiculous. Sorry, we don't need the parts. :P

So here is what I did: I followed the steps to disable my internet connection. Then Cleared my Browser Cache and Cookies. Started the game and Ka-Pow... it worked.

So let me know if anything worked for you.

Both has its own advantages and disadvantages. The reason being online shopping inc so rapidly, is the ease, and sites becoming safer by the day. Specially in cold countries, where people dont want to get out their houses, there is a high rise in online stuff

Hi. I think that QX9650 won't work with Asus Striker Extreme as this one have a nvidia chipset that don't support 45nm Quad core processors.
